Are Adelante leather boots handmade?

Yes. Every Adelante boot is handmade and made-to-order especially for you at our workshop in Pastores, Guatemala. Each pair is Goodyear welted, and you choose your size and width before we start. Shipping to the US and Canada is free.

What does made-to-order mean for leather boots?

Made-to-order means we start making your boots after you order, in the size and width you choose. That’s how we offer men’s sizes 4–17 and women’s sizes 4–15, in every half size. You can expect to receive your pair within 6 weeks of order.

Are your leather boots Goodyear welted, and can they be resoled?

Yes. All Adelante boots are Goodyear welted, so any cobbler can resole them. Goodyear welt construction means these boots are made to last a lifetime. Every pair is also handmade and made-to-order especially for you in Pastores, Guatemala.

What sizes and widths do Adelante leather boots come in?

Men’s boots come in sizes 4–17, including half sizes, in widths C–EEEEE. Women’s boots come in sizes 4–15, including half sizes, in widths A–EEE. Each pair is made-to-order, and split sizing, a different size or width on each foot, is free.

What kind of leather are your boots made from?

We make full grain leather boots, and every style also comes in nubuck. Each pair has a calfskin lining, a stacked leather heel, a vegetable-tanned leather midsole and welt, and a rubber outsole. All are handmade, Goodyear welted so any cobbler can resole them, and made-to-order especially for you.

Do you make leather boots for both men and women?

How long does it take to get my boots, and what does shipping cost?

You can expect to receive your boots within 6 weeks of order. Shipping is free to the US and Canada and a flat $65 everywhere else. If import duties or taxes apply, they are the customer’s responsibility. Each pair is made-to-order in Pastores, Guatemala.
