The Córdoba — Women's Leather Sandal

I've had these sandals for two years and they still are so comfortable, with only the best kind of wear. (And I am hard on my shoes!) I keep wanting to purchase another pair to support Adelante, but they are so well-made that there's no reason to replace them.

The width was perfect and the foot bed is very comfortable. Can't wait to wear them in the Spring!

Not as comfortable as I had hoped they would be and the front strap was initially way too big so they had to go back and I had to wait a month for a new pair with a smaller front strap because I couldn't just return the original shoes.

Fits perfectly. Advice given was spot on. Wife loved the colour.

I am in love with these sandals. The leather is so soft, the footbed is more cushioned than any leather sandal I've ever tried, and the fit is perfect. They arrived this morning and I've had them on for about 8 hours straight with no rubbing or soreness. This is my second pair of Adelante shoes (bought Reina boots in the fall) and I'll definitely be back for more.

Beautiful sandals. I sent them back to get the ankle straps lengthened.

I played it safe buy choosing a classic color, camel, and I love them so much I will order another pair with a different color way. They are a perfect fit and comfortable for walking in. I usually need high arch support but have no issues with these.

I have extremely difficult to fit feet - bunions on the big and little toes, wide forefoot but narrow heel, a very low instep, and too small to wear men’s shoes - and finding shoes that work for me is nearly impossible. Adelante worked with me to make these fit me perfectly and I am so grateful! They made them with a different width in the heel and toe box and shortened the straps across the top. It took a couple of tries, but they stuck with it and got it right and the shoes are just amazing, as is the service. Every interaction I had with Emma was wonderful and she was so patient with me and determined to make them fit me. I highly recommend the online fit session.

As for the shoes themselves, they are lovely. Buttery soft leather, quality craftsmanship, and a simple, classic look that goes with everything. The footbed is very flat but comfortable. I am going to order a second pair in a different color now that they have my measurements dialed in. And then try a winter style! Having shoes that fit is something most people take for granted, but for me it is nearly a miracle. And the price is so reasonable for semi-custom shoes, plus they treat the employees well. I’m so grateful to have found Adelante and will be a customer for life!

I liked this design to the point that I bought it in two different colors. The only thing I would like to see you do differently is add a bit more arch support. I purchased some sticky arch supports separately to add to them.

I’ve gotten lots of compliments! They are pretty comfy to teach all day in too.

Very pretty and comfortable. They fit perfectly, and the quality appears excellent.

These have become my go to sandal for summer events that I want to feel more put together for. I ordered the teal and blue in width E after measuring my foot.

I did find that the wide sole (which was perfect for me!) also meant that there was more height to the strap as well. Initially my feet slide around a lot, but I added a small pad to the inside of the front strap and that problem was fixed immediately. I didn't want to return them for a different size because the width of the foot pad/sole was so perfect. No more spilling off the sides of standard sandals!!!

They are super comfortable and I wear them constantly!

Really lovely sandal. Bought these for my wedding and because I knew I would wear them after that and I have. They can be dressed up or down and are generally comfortable. When wearing them for long periods of time, I found them a little uncomfortable but I also have fairly sensitive feet.

I love the look of these and the straps don’t cut into my feet. The two things I would improve are:

1. Include a few extra holes in the back strap. I had to go to a shoe repair to add extra so they wouldn’t be too loose around the ankle.

2. Add a bit more support. I added some extra arch support with stick on arch support gels.

I am a 8.5 EEE, and hoo boy, finding cute shoes is next to impossible. If I want a pair of Sensible Shoes (TM), I am set. But something stylish? Cute even? The pickings are slim! I was so excited to learn about Adelante, and these were part of my first order. I emailed ahead of time and asked for the exact measurement of the ball of the foot - basically the circumference at the widest part - in order to make sure I was going to get the correct size. To my surprise, the EE width, not the EEE, matched up with my own foot measurements. I ordered a custom pair with all yellow straps, and they arrived in 9 business days. They fit perfectly out of the box, and are obviously a high quality shoe made with care.

Here are my only criticisms: The yellow is less a bright/primary yellow and more a dull yellow with green/brown undertones. I really wanted a FUN shoe, so that was a little disappointing. Also, I really wish there was any kind of arch support built into the show. I normally wear orthotics, which obviously aren't an option for sandals, so the flat sole (though soft and a little cushy!) and the lack of true support is a bit of a bummer. However, neither of these points will dissuade me from ordering again, and I look forward to my next purchase.

After two tries, even with the help of a virtual fitting, the fit just wasn't right. I have very wide feet, and tried both the 10E and 10D. Both were absolutely huge on me, though the fit expert told me that the 10E should have been the exact right fit. I was really worried about exchanging yet again for a 10C, thinking that would be too big too (and at this point I was really upset about all the unnecessary waste I was creating by returning two pairs of shoes!) I do see that the shoes are very well made, and I think they would be extremely comfortable if they fit correctly, but I don't want to keep taking the risk.

I normally have a hard time finding a good fit, but the 12 B standard fit nicely. It’s a high quality shoe and leather needs to be broken in a bit around the ankle before wearing for long periods.

Adelante is one of the very few companies I’ve found that sells women’s shoe sizes under a 5! Thank you for offering petite shoes. I’m a 4.5 and that’s the size I bought - my cordobas are actually a tad small but still fit me just fine. First time I wore them they were already super comfortable! No need to break them in. I wear them daily. Occasionally one slips off while I’m walking but for the most part they’re great. I bought all brown leather but love the other color combinations they offer. The ability to customize each shoe size, width, and color is unheard of and so appreciated! Awesome email communication / customer service as well.

Love the shoes! The quality is outstanding and the service is impeccable. The only thing is that they do run small and its been hard to get them too conform to my feet. I can’t seem to keep them on since the straps are a bit narrow. I hope they stretch out with more wear. I want them to be my GO TO summer shoe :)

I ordered these sandals as my second pair of Adelante’s and was not disappointed! The quality is amazing and my only regret is that I didn’t order them earlier in the summer so I could wear them more. They can be worn pretty casually but with the right outfit, you can dress them up. Overall though I’m just so impressed at how much care and quality was put into the shoe. Adelante actually sent me a short video clip of my shoemaker addressing me BY NAME as he was making the shoes, so cool!!! You just can’t find that kind of direct maker to consumer these days. I highly, highly recommend making the investment in these wonderful shoes.

I purchased the Cordoba and it is beautiful. I love how classy it looks with the great pops of color. However I've been personally have an issue with it staying on as I walk. I think it has to do with my arches and foot shape as I usually have to wear sandals with straps. But they are lovely shoes of excellent quality.

I absolutely love my Cordobas, I actually bought them in 3 colors. They are adorable to wear in the summer, and it's an additional bonus that you can customize the colors. When I received them, I immediately noted the quality and could tell they were handmade. Would definitely recommend / buy again.

Excellent shoes! Wear them in NYC on the subway and the like and they hold up well. Very well made shoes and I can tell care was put in. Very comfortable and only takes 1-2 wears to break-in and mold to your feet. Highly recommend... I've already bought two pairs in different colors and am thinking they will keep well for next summer, too.

The cordoba is the perfect summer sandal. You can dress it up or down and I love how many color options there are. I'll definitely need to be getting another pair. I found it runs about a half size small on the length

I have lived in these shoes since I bought them. They are nice enough to wear to work and comfortable enough to be on my feet in all day :) could NOT be happier!
