The Clásico — Men's Oxford

I have never 'special ordered' shoes and I was a little dubious of the process. I was pleasantly surprised when the shoes showed up. The shoes were stunningly beautiful, solidly hand crafted, and slipped on my feet effortlessly. They needed very little time to break in, maybe just a few minutes just to get used to the solid feel of the shoe. My Adelante shoes are my go-to shoes for any special event ever since they arrived several years ago.

These shoes are beyond incredible! The shoe itself is true to size, beautifully crafted and very comfortable. The craftsmen and women are equally superb, as is their customer service! I cannot say enough good things about Adelante!

Overall I love my Adalante Classicos. They look beautiful, more expensive than they actually are. And I always receive admiring compliments while wearing them! Although I found them a bit stiff at first, they loosened up nicely after wearing a few times. My shoes appear to be well constructed and built to last.

My sole grievance is a minor one. I don't know if it's specific to my pair or standard practice, but on my shoes, the tracing marks where they stitched the leather are still visible, which detracts from the aesthetics of the shoes. If pressed, I'm sure I can find a way to remove them, but it's still the one thing that prevents me from saying my shoes are 100% perfect.

These shoes are amazing. As comfortable as they are stylish. My only complaint is not a real complaint at all; I am almost afraid to wear them outside because of how beautiful they are.

I'll preface this by saying, this is my second pair of Adelante shoes. The first pair I purchased at a pop-up shop in a bazaar in NYC, and the salesman was adamant that they'd be able to make shoes that fit my extremely wide (EEEEEE) feet. I was skeptical, but let him measure my feet and went through with the purchase.

A few weeks later, my first pair of Adelante shoes arrived, and they fit PERFECTLY. This first pair is the Santiago, and I was even able to customize it (added a cap toe) on top of the custom measurements.

Why is this important here? Well, this time I ordered the Clasico via the website. I was in regular communication with the customer support and they helped ensure that the same custom measurements used for my first pair were re-used here. Not only that, but they were also able to help me get removable insoles to allow for use of my orthotic insole.

Unfortunately, when this pair first came, they didn't quite fit correctly. But fear not! The customer service was once again impeccable and helped remedy the situation. The shoes were remade and now they fit perfectly, just like my Santiagos.

As for the quality of the shoe - being as I've just received the Clasico, I can only comment on the initial look and feel and it looks great. No fraying stitches, no noticeable imperfections, nothing. However, having my Santiago's for about a year I can attest that these shoes hold up well.

Experiences like this ensure a company has a customer for life, and I'll gladly recommend this brand and their shoes to everyone.

Solid construction. They look great and feel comfortable. My only issue is that they are heavier than your average shoe. I have two of Adelante’s shoes, the other are boots. I’ve had both for less than 3 months so we’ll see how they stand the rest of time in NYC.

My husband wears a size 15 and it is sometimes difficult to find a great looking shoe in his size. The fit was good and they look fantastic. He loves them and so do I.

takes a bit to break in. That is the only knock. These shoes are fantastic and sturdy. They run true to size as well. I will be buying another pair!
